Usage Metering

Meet counts what runs, per project and per mode, so you can see your month before you are charged.

What is counted#

Number Where it comes from
participant_minutes Admitted people in calls. Seconds are rounded up to a whole minute for each person in each session.
peak_concurrent The most people in at once across your rooms that day.
sessions Sittings that started that day.
caption_minutes Time covered by caption lines.
translation_listener_minutes Listeners of spoken translation, per language, rounded up for each listener.
recording_minutes, storage_mb Finished recordings, rounded up to a whole minute, and the storage they hold.

Days are UTC. A person belongs to the day they joined. A session still open counts to now, at most 12 hours. People in a waiting room are not counted until admitted.

Read it#

bash
curl "https://meet.respiresoft.com/api/v1/usage?from=2026-11-01&to=2026-11-30&granularity=day" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $MEET_API_KEY"

You get rows (one per day or month), totals and the price_book. A test key shows test usage and a live key shows live usage. GET /api/v1/usage/estimate?month=2026-11 returns line items and a total. While billing is off it says "billing_live": false and "charged": false. Details are on Usage API and the numbers are on Pricing.

Fresh numbers#

Today's numbers and any day without a stored daily row are measured live, so they are always current. Past days are stored by a daily rollup.
